Do you waste a lot of your food while preparing and cooking your dishes? It is a huge problem for all of us, but it does not mean that it does not have a solution. There are definitely many creative ways that helps you reduce food waste and help you to wise up on waste.

·         Size of the Portions
When the guests finish eating and the dishes comes back to the kitchen, check what is left to know whether the portion was too big, the sauce was too much or there were excessive garnish. Therefore, you would be able to know the perfect portion of the dish reducing the probability of waste.
·         Specials Board:
The extra ingredients left from food preparation can be taken to be used in many seasonal dishes; mainly it depends on the ingredients. For example, fruits, that are going to be soft, can be used in pies and smoothies.
·         Measuring:
Measure the ingredients in order to wise up on your waste.
·         Expiry Date:
Always check the expiry date of the products in your fridge in order to avoid food waste.
·         Be Creative:
Try to use what is left from the dish preparation in the garnish or in other dishes, for example if you have toast left from breakfast, you can use it as breadcrumbs for fried chicken or it can be toasted and sprinkled over salads.
Wise up on waste can save a lot of shopping and money as you would be able to make use of everything you buy.
